PAC-UK Special Guardianship Support Service

Comprehensive and up-to-date information, guidance and support for special guardians.

Special guardianship

Special guardianship provides certainty for children about where and who they will be living with when they can’t live with their birth parents. Special guardians often step in selflessly to provide safe and loving homes to children that need immediate support. Many face difficulties in managing birth family contact, supporting children with complex needs, or other inevitable challenges experienced when parenting someone else’s child.

To meet the needs of an increasing numbers of special guardians, Family Action has launched a national Special Guardianship Support Service, delivered by our adoption support agency, PAC-UK, which aims to:

  • Improve outcomes for children living with special guardians.
  • Provide an accessible source of trusted support, information and guidance to special guardians.

If you are a special guardian or professional who would like support contact us.
